The past decade of hyper-enforcement, incarceration, and deportation of migrants has left deep emotional wounds in the latinx migrant community thus further illuminating the need for social justice-oriented trauma healing that is accessible to frontline communities. Latinx Therapists In Action aims to fill this critical, but often under-prioritized need through building a national network of latinx therapists to center the wellbeing of organizations waging courageous campaigns to end law enforcement violence, criminalization, incarceration, and deportation.
La última década del híper control, encarcelamiento y deportación de lxs migrantes ha dejado profundas heridas emocionales en la comunidad migrante latinx, así iluminando aún más la necesidad de una sanación del trauma basada en la justicia y accesible a las comunidades en pie de lucha. Latinx Therapists in Action (Terapeutas Latinx en Acción) busca cumplir esta necesidad a la vez tan esencial y tan poco priorizada, al construir una red nacional de terapeutas latinx para centrar el bienestar de las organizaciones que llevan campañas valientes para acabar con la violencia policial, la criminalización, el encarcelamiento y la deportación.
